LA Fathers is a very unique and special program. Aimed at new fathers aged 15-25, this program offers a combination of activities and workshops designed to foster responsible parenting in order to empower young fathers to become active, productive participants in their children’s lives.
The participants are from very low-income populations and many are gang-members or have had prior problems with the law. This campaign was the first of its kind and ran exclusively in public transportation because the target audience has no other economic means of local travel.
“The ads gave us a jump start and we hit our recruitment number last program year. Actually, we hit it out of the box,” said Carla Hill, Program Manager. “We got so much good feedback about the ads. Personally, I LOVE the artwork. It is so much like the fathers we serve everyday. I was just talking to our staff about the process of coming up with the campaign and how it was clear that your organization really understood what we were looking for.”
